Digital Camcorder

These day’s everyone’s a Spielberg – and why not – the technology’s there?  Developing technologies offer the consumer the chance to own a digital camcorder that can preserve memories or even lead to a future career!

It all started back with the analog camcorder.  It consisted of two parts – a camera section with a lens and motors for zooming and focus and a VCR section.  The electronic components were designed to receive visual information and convert it into an electronic signal.  It was just like your old VCR machine connected to your TV.  The electronic components received a video signal and recorded it on video tape in magnetic patterns.
